Youth Activities Brochure Contest 2025-26

Due Date:

Entries must be submitted to the State Youth Activities Chairman no later than April 30, 2025

All lodges across the state have programs honoring the youth in their communities and this contest was created to recognize those lodges with strong youth activities programs. The hopes of this contest is not just to recognize strong youth activities programs across the state, but to promote and continue to help all lodges continue to build a strong youth program as a state.

Lodges will be divided into six groups with the following membership breakdown:

  • Division 1 – Lodges with 150 or fewer members
  • Division 2 – Lodges with 151-225 members
  • Division 3 – Lodges with 226-300 members
  • Division 4 – Lodges with 301- 450 members
  • Division 5 – Lodges with 451-700 members
  • Division 6 – Lodges with 701 or more members

State Awards will be made to the Lodges which sponsored and maintained the best Youth Programs during the Lodge year (April 1-March 31) just completed the preceding Session.

To Qualify:

Lodges can choose to submit with a hardcopy version or electronically:

If submitting hard copy:

  • No brochure may be over 18 pounds in weight, nor exceed 15 inches by 18 inches in size and 5 inches in thickness, including cover.
  • Entries should include a Table of Contents with page tabs and pages numbered to correspond with the table of contents.
  • Please identify each section with a title page.
  • Send or deliver the entry to: John Israel, 631 Oregon Trail Ct. St Charles MO, 63304

If submitting electronically:

  • Email the State Youth Activities Chairman at johnlindenwood@juno.com
  • You have several options on how to submit – My suggestion is to put all items into a Google folder and share the link by emailing it.
  • Entries should include a Table of Contents that refer to the file names that are included in the Google folder.
  • All Lodge contest brochures must include a letter from the Lodge Secretary verifying membership as of March 31st of that Lodge Year.

Food for thought:

  • Social Media, Newsletters, Articles and othher excerpts that show youth activity programs can be used for documentation
  • Awards banquets are more important than picnics. Banquets have a captive audience for introductions, whereas picnics are usually scattered, but both can and should be a part of the overall program.
  • Include documentation that shows the activity in action; be sure to get parent permission for media clearances
  • A Gun Show is not Youth Activities.
  • Pictures should not contain tables or individuals with drinks or beer bottles in hand.
